Miscommunications is a series of composited self-portraits that explore relationships that are beyond repair. My photographs explore the duplexity of internalized feelings of frustration that two people may share in a sexual relationship. Through these photographic snapshots, I am highlighting my own experiences that I have with miscommunication. I am trying to understand my role in these moments with a partner, and that means I am learning and growing from these experiences. There is a complicated nature that coincides with sexual relationships, this project rebels against stereotypical depictions; there is an analysis of nuance moments between two people, rather than the ones someone might see on social media.
