Entitlement is a series of interactive self-portraits that explore the nature of entitlement in a patriarchal society. These photographs, created to look like scratchboard, push the viewer to make the active choice to look at intimate and personal scenes that they were not invited into. Entitlement to women's spaces, bodies, vulnerability, kindness, and more is as common as breathing. The act of taking away the boundary between the image and the viewer by scratching away the black paint asks one to consider - what right do you have to this moment?
